AI Chat

Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-10-03

1. Who we are

AI Chat is an independent third-party application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic PBC (the makers of Claude) or Microsoft Corporation. Claude and Anthropic are trademarks of Anthropic PBC; Microsoft, Windows and Microsoft Store are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. The app is built and operated by an individual developer, reachable at support@hayah.dev.

2. What the app does

AI Chat is a desktop client for conversing with large language models. When you send a message, the app forwards it to our server, which relays it to Anthropic's Claude API and streams the reply back to you. On the free plan, Claude may instead be reached through Amazon Web Services (Amazon Bedrock), which hosts the same Claude model. On a paid plan each answer mode has its own daily and weekly Claude allowance; once the mode you are using has spent its own allowance, the app keeps answering with another model instead — hosted by Amazon Web Services (Amazon Bedrock), or reached through OpenRouter — we call this "extended capacity". Your conversation history is kept on your own PC.

3. Acceptable use

By using the app you agree not to:

Your use is also subject to Anthropic's usage policies, and — for free-plan messages answered through Amazon Bedrock and for messages answered on extended capacity — the usage policies of Amazon Web Services, or of OpenRouter and the model provider it routes to, since your messages are processed by whichever of them answers. We may suspend access that we reasonably believe is abusive or is putting the service at risk.

4. Free and Pro

The free tier includes a small number of messages per day on the fastest model. A Pro subscription gives you more messages every day and unlocks the larger models. Fair-use ceilings apply to Pro so that one account cannot exhaust the service for everyone; the current limits are enforced by the server and may be adjusted.

5. Subscriptions, billing and cancellation

Pro subscriptions are sold as in-app purchases through the Microsoft Store. Microsoft, not us, takes the payment, issues the receipt and renews the subscription automatically at the end of each period.

6. Availability

The service depends on third parties (Microsoft for licensing, Anthropic for the model, Amazon Web Services and OpenRouter with its model providers for extended capacity, Cloudflare for hosting) and can be interrupted by any of them. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and models may be added, changed or retired as their providers change them.

7. Disclaimer

Model output can be wrong, outdated or misleading. It is not professional advice — medical, legal, financial or otherwise — and you are responsible for checking anything you rely on. The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Your content

You keep all rights to what you write and to the replies you receive. We claim no ownership over your conversations and do not use them to train anything. That is a statement about us: to produce a reply, a message is processed by whichever third-party provider answers it (section 2), and what that provider does with it is governed by its own terms and privacy policy, not by this section.

9. Changes and termination

These terms may change; the date at the top of this page tells you when it last did, and continued use after a change means you accept it. You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it and cancelling any subscription through the Microsoft Store.
